The Euromed Transport
Project aims to improve the functioning and the efficiency
of the Euro-Mediterranean transport system by facilitating
cooperation between the Mediterranean Partner Countries.
The project has supported the Mediterranean Partners in
the preparation of a Diagnostic Study which outlines
the main challenges and bottlenecks for all modes of transport
in the MEDA region.
In the framework of the Euromed Transport Forum, the project
has also helped to draft the Blue Paper on Euro-Mediterranean
Transport Policy, in cooperation with the Mediterranean
Partners, the EU Member States, and the European Commission.
The project will prepare a Regional Transport
Action Plan (RTAP) to address the
issues relating to policy and institutional measures,
and to infrastructure development.
