CURRENCY
 

The Moroccan currency is the Dirham (DH), divided into 100 centimes (1€ = about 11 Moroccan Dirhams). There are 10, 20, 50, 100 and 200 DH banknotes, 1, 5 and 10 DH and of 5, 10, 20 and 50 centimes coins.

You can obtain Dirhams only in Morocco from banks or authorized establishments. They do not take any commission and they issue a bordereau which will be of great use at the end of your stay in order to reconvert your balance from dirhams to your original currency.

You can withdraw money in banks using a credit card and a cheque book, or directly from cashpoint. Credit cards are generally accepted in big hotels, shops and restaurants, and even sometimes in souks!

CLIMATE
 

During winter evenings in Marrakech are very fresh and the temperature difference between the day and the night is rather important.

In December, the average temperature in Marrakech is 13°C, the minimal averag e is 7°C and the maximum average is 19°C.
